Following their Song For Europe 1982 win on 24 March 1982, this was Sally Ann Triplett and Stephen Fischer's third Bardo appearance on Top of the Pops, on 29 April 1982.
'One Step Further' was the highest new chart entry in the 11 April 1982 chart at no.16, and went on to reach no.2 in the 25 April 1982 chart. The song was placed 7th of 18 countries in the Eurovision Song Contest 1982, held in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, on 24 April 1982.
