About Divine Sacred Order:

Divine Sacred Order (DSO) hails from Manila, Philippines and started out in early 2009 as the brainchild of Black Tooth Grin's bass player, Jonathan Dizon. Jonathan wanted to set up a project wherein he could express his creative passion for heavier and darker metal. Before becoming Divine Sacred Order, the band was originally called Luna's Dagger. After several casual band members came and went, Jonathan was still determined to make the band work with a more solid lineup.

At the same time, Marco "Jester" De La Paz, a drummer from Syracuse, New York who had played the drums in several hard rock/heavy metal bands in NY as well as the Manila scene, was searching to join or form a metal band. Jonathan and Jester came in contact through a common network of friends in May 2009. Jester's vast experience immediately made an impact on the band's direction in music towards something traditionally heavy, yet branching out into the more modern technical forms of metal.

Soon after, the band got Amrit Melwani, a very talented up and coming guitarist whose passion was shared by the other members of the band. His melodic style of playing and diversity in musical taste, had put the icing on the cake. Amrit's guitar playing fused well with the other band members to create a solid and powerful sound. After two gigs, the band decided to change its from name from Luna's Dagger to Divine Sacred Order. The band forged a respectable sound with elements of thrash metal, death metal, and groove metal.

After almost a year of gigging for various productions around Metro Manila, DSO began searching for a vocalist that would take the band to the next level. The band eventually found Paolo Bagaman, a powerful vocalist with the discipline and drive that fit DSO's culture perfectly.

In early 2010, Paolo Bagaman joined DSO as the lead vocalist and the band continued playing their brand of metal in the Manila underground Metal scene. Paolo's addition had added the finishing touches to the band's diverse metal sound. The band's music can be described a powerful fusion of Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Groove Metal, Progressive Metal and Black Metal.

The members of DSO are just a bunch of guys that love chilling out, playing music, watching metal concerts, metal DVDs, movies, Seinfeld episodes, going on road trips, boozing up and pigging out. Divine Sacred Order provides a punishing combination of everything the band members have wanted in a metal band.
