This is the official video of Blanket Barricade’s instrumental indie rock song “A Rock On The Sun”.
The song, inspired by epic rock bands such as Genesis starts with a long slow synth intro which then explodes into a big drum groove, dreamy synths and walls of guitars. The track was recorded over a period of 2 years in our Vancouver based studio. To date this is one of the band’s longest pieces and it has been used as upbeat background music in countless videos, sketches, live events, talk shows, video games, documentaries & short films.

Credits:
This upbeat rock music track was mixed and mastered by Wesley K. with lots of focus on the syncopated drum grooves which give the song a driving feeling. The song stars with a minute long build up which then explodes into walls of sound and guitars. The bass joins the drums in a syncopated feeling which gives the song a distinct 80's sound. The instruments play it cool on the verse so that on the chorus and bridge they can burst into an epic wall of sound. There are three solos in the song; saxophone, guitar, an synth. The solos escalate into each other in the 2nd half of the song bringing it to a climatic roaring finish. The art for this song was drawn by Mary-Lee N. and is from the album insert page included with the band's Parade Bells album.
