The Rutherfords were a Sydney based rock band formed in the early 80's and gig'd Sydney pubs throughout the 80's and early 90's.

The band consisted of 5 members, Geoffrey Hallett (Guitar/Vocals), Glenn Paul (Guitar/Vocals), Bill Hallett (Drums/Vocals), John Fraser (Bass/Vocals) Andrew Hallett (Lead Vocals/Keys).

They were well known at the time for their tight, hard rocking gigs, taking their audience on an eclectic musical journey.

The Rutherfords original music was inspired by such bands as AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Midnight Oil & Celibate Rifles giving them an unusual "Pop/Grunge Rock" sound.

Under the Autumn Leave's, (their only music video), was written by Geoffrey Hallett. A poetic lyricist who was classically trained on guitar.
