DESCRIPTION:
In the first module of the R&B Lab, Russ will discuss and demonstrate the concept of Backbeat consistency. This ability is the building block for playing all forms of backbeat music but especially R&B music. You will learn how to recognize when your snare drum backbeat is not being placed correctly. Also, Russ will demonstrate the method for how to correct the backbeat placement and develop it's consistency. This lesson can be the key that opens the door up to you solidifying your groove on the drums. The great "pocket" drummers of all time, had amazingly consistent backbeat "placement". This module will help you get your's locked down as well.
