Birmingham’s Ruins Restored exploded into the music scene in 2006 with a powerful stadium-sized rock sound and an unprecedented momentum. These small town guys have a big passion for the music they create and a heart for the lives of their audience. Passionate vocals from front-man Eric Abney (Atlanta, GA), with chest-pounding support from bass guitarist Jason Kirk (Birmingham, AL), epic dynamics courtesy of drummer David Coleman (Marion, AL), topped with soaring melodies from lead guitarist Daniel Riley, (Birmingham, AL) leaves their audience inspired to take on the highs and lows of life.
Currently number 2 on the Independent Charts, Ruins continues on a vigorous tour schedule of the southeast. They live for the opportunity to build relationships with fans, and believe that meeting people where they are is the best way to be a positive influence on them. Abney says, “I got a letter from a girl saying that our song, ‘Alone Again’ helped her through a really hard time in her life…THAT is what this is about, reaching out to people.” Each member of Ruins has their own unique story of redemption, but that commonality is what unites its members. “There are many empty roads that lead to confusion and doubt, but few roads that bring peace…”, says Jason Kirk. The variety in their philosophy, musical ideas, and background makes the impact behind the Ruins Restored encounter even more memorable. The message that emanates from their big rock sound reassures all that there is hope for the downtrodden, and their songs weave that story of
hope for every person searching for answers. Ruins says, "We believe we all have a purpose in this life. We thank God every day for giving us the opportunity to share our passion."
Ruins Restored is currently working on their debut, full-length album with Dove Award winning producer/songwriter Barry Blair (Audio Adrenaline, Sanctus Real) and Jason Elgin (producer/engineer) with Synchromesh Studios. Now available is a pre-release demo of the album giving their fans a taste of the intensity and edge that is Ruins Restored. They have shared the stage with touring artists such as: Disciple, I Am Terrified, Lynam, Ohio Avenue, Ilia, Nine Lashes, Candlefuse and many others.
