“Worship is very simply our response to who God is and what He has done. So often we try to complicate worship and put it in a certain box to fit things that we like or make us feel good, but we must always worship in spirit and in truth. We must see God for who He really is, and not who we think He is.



There is a beautiful statement from God to Moses in Exodus Chapter 3. Speaking to Moses from a burning bush, God gives him the seemingly impossible task of leading the Children of Israel out of slavery and into the promised land. Moses asks God what he should tell people when they ask who sent him. He is basically asking God what His name is. God responds to Moses, "I Am who I Am" and then He says, "tell them, I AM sent You." God's name is I Am, and if our worship is our response to God and who He is, we can simply respond to I Am by saying, You Are.
