DESCRIPTION:
Harry Hudson’s Melody Men with Vocal Chorus – The Broadway Melody, Fox Trot from Sound Movie „Broadway Melody” (Nacio Herb Brown – Arthur Freed), Edison Radio Bell 1929 (UK)

NOTE: Recently, quite a few recordings of that excellent British hot-dance band of the Roarin’ 20s were presented in this channel. Here is one more. Let me remind, Harry Hudson was a British pianist and in—house band leader for Edison Bell minirecords. His band also recorded under various pseudonyms, among which The Blue Jays was most prevalent. Edison Bell Radio was swallowed in 1933 by British Decca and the label disappeared together with Harry Hudson’s Melody Men (his last recording was made in 1934). From late 1930s to 1950s Harry Hudson was still performing as a pianist, from 1947 he was well-known as performer on Britain's first radio quiz program Have A Go.
