Don McLean And I Love You So/Castles In The Air/Vincent/Crying Live 2016 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 07, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
From his first album Tapestry, Don McLean performs And I Love You So, a 1973 Billboard Easy Listening number one hit single cover by Perry Como, and Castles In The Air. The 70-year-old singer-songwriter follows with Vincent (Starry Starry Night) from his 1971 best selling album American Pie. Roy Orbison's Crying is the encore on Don McLean's American Troubadour Tour live in concert at the La Mirada Theater for the Performing Arts, La Mirada, CA on March 5, 2016. "Vincent" written by Don McLean is a tribute to artist Vincent van Gogh. Opening line "Starry Starry Night" refers to Van Gogh's painting The Starry Night. Teen soprano superstar Jackie Evancho recorded a beautiful version of Vincent on her 2009 debut album. Don McLean's cover of Crying was a US Top 5 successful single in 1981.
