DESCRIPTION:
Waking up today in America in the wake of the election brought fear and sadness in a way I've never experienced in the world in regards to it's immediate future. In the face of that, Kyler England and I instinctually wrote a song to heal ourselves and feel hope again. In our mind we thought of today as if last night revealed a side of the world we need to forget. Now more than ever we need to be the change. We need to show everyone that love, compassion, dignity and unity will ultimately guide us to the future we all deserve.

the morning after
Kyler England/Royal Wood
it's the morning after
and we have to face the truth about who we are
this is our disaster
and we have to find a way beyond the battle scars
i believed in you before today, can we repair?
and can we look beyond our faults to what we share
oh i still care
but i'm not giving up
on us, on us
i'm not giving up
on us, on us
it's the morning after
what really matters
is love love love
it's the morning after
there are things that would have been better left unsaid
oh there is an answer
i will meet you in the place we met when our souls led
i believed in you before today, can we return?
but carry in our hearts the weight of what we've learned
this is gonna hurt
but i'm not giving up
on us, on us
i'm not giving up
on us, on us
it's the morning after
what really matters
is love love love
oh love, show us the way to go
oh love, hold us to the light we know
it's the morning after
and we have to face the truth about who we are
but i'm not giving up
on us, on us
i'm not giving up
on us, on us
it's the morning after
what really matters
is love love love
