DESCRIPTION:
Drawing from a wealth of experience in electronic, rock, hip-hop, jazz and classical music, freezerRoom have put the finishing touches to their debut E.P.
Formerly the engine room of popular and innovative Irish band The Shades, production department (producer Graham White and DJ Colm K) and rhythm section (bassist Rory Dempsey and drummer Jean Michel Cavallo) are again working together to create something different.
Featuring Elaine Dowling on vocals, the recording of their debut self-titled E.P. has taken place in New York, London and Antibes in the south of France and is due for release September 2009 on the Go Deep Label.

Cork born New York based producer Graham has always stuck to his roots, electronic music coupled with live instrumentation - and has developed quite a unique sound which has received a lot of attention in recent times. Graham's Influences are bands like Unkle, Cinematic Orchestra, Portishead DJ Shadow and Massive Attack. He has been working in the studio with Colm, Rory and Jean Michel since early 2000 and is also recording in his studio in NYC with musicians from around the States. freezerRoom has been his main focus in the last few years and he is now working to have an album recorded for 2010.

Colm K is a well known soul & funk producer & DJ throughout Ireland. He has played alongside Run Dmc, Jazzy Jeff, Afrika Bambatta, Kenny Dope, Nicolle Willis & The Soul Investigators, Mr Scruff, Aim and many more besides.. He represented his country at the Red Bull Academy in Rome 2004 and in recent years has begun producing his own music. He currently holds many residencies as a dj all over the country.

Following his degree in Ireland, Rory went to study double bass at the Royal College of Music, London. He regularly plays with orchestras there and in Ireland, as well performing with his jazz trio. He has been a member of energetic Irish house act Cartoon and has recorded extensively for other people on both electric and upright bass.

Jean Michel played in many rock bands in his native France before making the move to Ireland. He played drums with successful rock outfit Cyclefly and released on MCAs Radioactive label. His hard-hitting style is much admired and has been well reviewed in numerous publications such as drummers bible Rhythm Magazine.

freezerRooms self titled e.p. is due for release on the Cork based Go Deep imprint. Fish Go Deep recognised the potential of the release and decided to release the e.p. and to remix the lead single Weapon Of Choice.
Following interest from renowned producer, DJ & sought after remixer, Atjazz also produced some amazing remixes of Weapon Of Choice.

The freezerRoom e.p. with remixes will be available in September through Juno, Traxsource, Dance Tracks Digital, Beatport, Finetunes and iTunes.
