For a while, Ron E Jones seemed to be Australian music’s best kept secret – but like any good secret, some
were just meant to be told. In his case, it seems like the word is spreading and people just can’t keep their
mouths closed.
With debut album “Story of a Bachelor” just about ready for release, Ron E Jones’ plans to solidify his imprint
into the music industry are already in place.
2010 saw him gain ARIA Dance chart notoriety with record breaking dance music DJ/artist Mobin Master
(“Show Me Love”) on their collaborative single “Nympho“, which spent six weeks in the ARIA TOP 50 dance
music charts as well as getting heavy airplay by Ministry of Sound radio and DJs around the country .
The track showcased Ron E Jones’ abilities as an artist to seamlessly transition between R&B, hip‐hop and
dance and was just the tip of the iceberg for what’s in store.
For his upcoming album “Story of a Bachelor”, Ron E Jones teamed up with producer Tom Williams from
Tommirock to deliver a pop album that not only transcends music genres and listening demographics but
finally introduces the “Ron E Jones” movement.
“I think we are hitting the sound right on the head. I’m exactly where I want to be musically. It’s definitely
moved from wanting to make a particular sound to just being able to create and let it flow naturally which I
think is essential. More than ever it feels like me, every song is me. This is who I am and this is what I have to
say. I feel it’s a coming of age on all aspects and people will definitely be able to feel that and get it.”
In addition to the “Story of a Bachelor” album, Ron E Jones has an endless list of upcoming projects including
2 massive dance tunes, “Ready for the weekend” with DJ KCB and Aladdin Royaal and “Got It Bad” with DJ
KCB VS DJ Fuel (Homebrew Records) both set for a Summer 2010/ 2011 release. Other upcoming
collaborations include more dancefloor killers with The House Inspectors, Sonny Fodera, Maria Maroulis, and
some (out of the box) work with an upcoming national fight promotion (Xtreme Fight Club) who enlisted his
unique songwriting prowess for their theme music duties and other songwriting projects. There is even an
upcoming ode to his hometown Newcastle, and that’s just what’s coming up…
As a singer/ songwriter, Ron E Jones’ resume already boasted some impressive achievements which include
appearances on Spit Syndicate’s 2008 ARIA nominated album “Towards The Light”, DJ KCB’s NRG Floorfillas
series, hip‐hop and R&B compilations by DJ Carl Alley & DJ Peril (1200 Techniques) and an assortment of
music awards and writing credits. He has worked as a session singer for Austereo and Song Zu in Sydney and
has performed not only around Australia but internationally including a brief stint in dance music capital
Ibiza, Spain.
Some stories were just mean to be told… Ron E Jones – The Story Of A Bachelor – coming soon!
