The Role Distance is an Alternative Rock Band from Rome, Italy. The main feature of this band is the combination of various genres of music, merging sounds such as grunge, blues, hard rock and country. The band started because of a sound designer, the singer's best friend, put pressure on the lead singer to form a band and sing his own songs. The Role Distance project started in 2006 when finally the band found a good lineup and started to seriously put together their musical repertoire. During the same year the band participates at the Dream Wave Contest, ending in a well deserved 5th place. Role distance's sound is a hard and persuasive melody but at the same time soft and sentimental.

Nello stesso anno si classificano al 5 posto a livello Nazionale al "Dream Wave Contest".
Nel Dicembre 2008 firmano un contratto discografico con la Enjoy Records per la vendita dei loro brani inediti online, su portali internet come Itunes, Amazon.
A febbraio 2010 registrano un Lp masterizzato a Londra, prodotto da Daniel Curto, soundesigner engineer italoinglese per la realizzazione del quale hanno lavorato:
