DESCRIPTION:
I fell in love with this strange and beautiful song by Erich Wolfgang Korngold from his Drei Gesänge Op.18 - 1 called "In meine innige Nacht". Some of you may know Korngold from his great soundtracks from the 1930's and 40's. This piece, composed in 1924, reminds me a little of Messiaen... pre-Messiaen. In concert at Carleton College in Northfield, MN 5/8/15. (I recorded the piano track.)
