1979 - Rock Sugar by Rob Grill

Rock sugar, this is it
Tiny dancer, yeah
Movin' right through the night
Little mama
She's a tiny daughter
Yeah, makin' it look so nice

Little lady, sugar lady
How come you look so sweet?
You seem to be
Everything I need

Rock sugar
Dance your blues away
Rock sugar
Take it away

Slow movin', yeah
Ah, she's slow groovin'
Never holds back at all
And you're a dancer
You're born to be there
Ah, dancin' across the floor

Little lady
Sugar lady
How come you look so sweet?
You seem to be
Everything I need

Rock sugar
You're dancing through the night, yeah
Rock sugar
You make it seem so right
Rock sugar
Dance your blues away, baby
Rock sugar
Take it away

I wish you'd stop avoiding me
Every time I try to talk with you
Ah, dancing's got to be the key
Dancin'...

Rock sugar
Dancin' through the night
Rock sugar
Mama, you're makin' it seem so right
Rock sugar
Dance your blues away
Rock sugar
Just take it away

Rock sugar
Dance your blues away
Rock sugar
Take it away, yeah

Yeah
Take it away
Take it away
Won't you take it away
Take it away
Rock sugar...
Robert Frank "Rob" Grill (born November 30, 1943 in Los Angeles, California) is an American singer, songwriter and bass guitarist best known as lead singer of the highly successful (between 1967 and 1972) rock and roll band, The Grass Roots.
He launched a solo career in 1979, assisted on his solo album by several members of Fleetwood Mac. Responding to 60s nostalgia, Grill then reformed The Grass Roots (now billed "The Grass Roots Starring Rob Grill") and has toured the United States since the 1980s.
