Rare First Ever Recording by One Million Fuzztone Guitars Blue Baby Original Version 1981 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jun 26, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Very rare, the never released first ever recording by One Million Fuzztone Guitars, recorded at The Cellar Studio, Egypt Road, Nottingham on 18th August 1981.

Inspired by a fight between Hell's Angels (that I found myself in the middle of) in the front rows of a Pink Fairies gig at The Roundhouse in the mid 70's (where the "You killed my baby" line came from).

Blue Baby was later part of the series of tracks that formed One Million Fuzztone Guitars first commercial recordings and was planned to be the first single until the man from the BBC (on hearing the session) said, "we'll play anything but Blue Baby, no-one will ever play that on radio, I can see the complaints flooding in now about the record about dead babies, and I don't want to be the next Bill Grundy"

I told him it was about Margaret Thatcher to try and get it on the turntable, but he wasn't having any of it, "the Great British Public won't make that connection, they''ll just hear 'DEAD BABIES' and go insane, it will never happen".

So the first One Million Fuzztone Guitars release was Heaven/Annuese, and this has sat in a box ever since..........

Robert Courtney: Guitar and Vocals
Andrew Dickinson: Stylophone
Boss SoundMaster SL-88 - Drums

There are no effects on this recording, everything you hear is volume based distortion.
