Robert Mitchell is one of the most talented and thrilling jazz pianists in the UK, with a broad appeal that has seen him nominated for BBC Jazz Awards and play in session on Gilles Peterson's Worldwide radio show. The Basement Jazz Sessions are a monthly series of live jazz and other music in the Brook's basement bar near Hammersmith, West London. They combine two magical ingredients:top-class music, painstakingly selected to avoid the humdrum and old-hat, andan intimate, relaxed atmosphere in a basement bar serving great food and drinks.

The sessions take place on the first Tuesday of every month, and all the information concerning forthcoming performances will be available on this page.
