YOUTH CODE (EBM+Industrial / Los Angeles, USA)
http://youthcode.bandcamp.com/
http://www.daisrecords.com/

Few bands are as committed to classic EBM and Wax Trax-style industrial as Los Angeles' Youth Code. Dark wave is in. Minimal synth. Noise techno. But EBM and early industrial seem to be pushed to the periphery, existing more for nostalgic aging goths than cool young people like you and me. Youth Code seem like cool young people, though, and they employ sampled dialogue and clashing synths without sounding dated or cheesy. "Carried Mask," from their forthcoming debut album, is genuinely menacing, echoing the true sonic terrorism of Throbbing Gristle and its offshoots as opposed to the more poppy and less timeless bounce of, say, Nitzer Ebb. The screamed vocals and cluttered density of noise make "Carried Mask" viscerally exciting, and its production is heavy and crisp, allowing it to feel like a 2013 continuation of the Wax Trax aesthetic rather than a sad 2013 stab at reclaiming the past.

DRAKENWERKS (Industrial, EBM) --BRISTOL ONLY

Fast rising DrakenWerks have been making a name for themselves across the UK and wider scene. Hailing from Wales, they bring a unique blend of EBM / Industrial noise that has been blasted across dance floors and radio stations throughout the world. Their recent album, "No Prisoners", proved particular sucessful, reaching #2 in the German Alternative Charts and lasting the full 8 weeks maximum stay in the top 10, holding it's own against some very notable competition.

DrakenWerks has played throughout the UK, supporting some very well known bands in the past and has an increasingly dedicated fan base. They also have a new EP due out in Autumn 2016, "Prototype Rebuilt 1/3" so expect some new tracks from that EP as well as the popular tracks from No Prisoners to be making their way into future DrakenWerk sets.
