Enrique Iglesias suffers a drone accident mid concert in Mexico causing the singer to… keep singing with a bloody hand!
Hey guys, I’m your host Vivian Fabiola thanks for checking in with Clevver Music. Latin pop singer, Enrique Iglesias was performing Saturday night in Tijuana Mexico when this drone freak accident occurred during his performance.
For those of you that have already attended one of his “Sex and Love World Tour” concerts, you are very familiar with the drone that is used to capture fan photos.
As usual, the drone came close to him and he grabbed it in an attempt to get a cool Point of View Shot and that’s when something went wrong and his fingers were sliced!
As we observe the video, it seems as if he didn’t immediately realize he had severely hurt himself…
The singer did run back stage for some quick medical attention but then returned with bloody hand and all. Against the emergency staff’s recommendations, he continued performing for another 30 minutes as he said he didn’t want to disappoint the 12 thousand fans that were there that night. He said quote, “The show must go on”. Manager Joe Bonilla shared a couple bloody pics including this one where Enrique drew a heart with his blood saying quote, “Just an example of his professionalism.”
Fans immediately began tweeting him supportive messages on their hand saying “We love you Enrique”, “Get Well soon”.
After the concert Enrique Iglesias was rushed to the airport in an ambulance where he then flew to Los Angeles for medical attention. He tweeted this morning saying, “That Day when you feel like you woke up in a bed of nails.”
