These are incredibly cool sounding pickups. They have all of the clean and quacky Strat love and none of the noise. I'm a convert.

This video features a virtual Bogner Shiva rig built inside an Axe-FX II. If you would rather hear these pickups demoed with a 'real' amp, please see https://youtu.be/ReSR6WGeqik .

Special thanks to Rob and Rick Buitenhuis, Melbourne's premium Kinman Guitar Pickup dealers, for building the wonderful S-Style guitar you see in the video. Find them at http://guitarsandthings.com.au

I'm going to defer to Chris Kinman's own description because he tells the story better than I can:

"If you love John Mayers sound you'll love our noiseless version of Fender's Big Dipper found in the John Mayer Signature Stratocaster* (now discontinued).

Featuring three of The Scoop model Strat pickups which produce the sound of mid 70's big headstock Stratocasters. Scooped snappy sound with brilliant pristine highs and Zero Hum. If you would rather hear these pickups with a 'real' amp, please see my accompanying video at https://youtu.be/ReSR6WGeqik .

Big headstocks mid to late 70’s Strat's had low power under-wound pickups which produced a very deep bass and scooped midrange.

Frequently seen Forum comment: "Noiseless Strat pickups sound different to genuine single coils". Until recently that did have an element of truth in it, but not anymore.

Here is The Scoop, it uses new technology to produce the same type of sound which is an astounding achievement for a noiseless Strat pickup. Deep bass, defining snappy attack response, scooped midrange and shimmering brilliant sweet highs. Authentic Position 2 & 4 Knopfler-esque ‘cluck’ sounds.

The name was chosen for the obvious sonic similarity to Fender’s late 70's and Big-Dipper* pickups. Position 2 and 4 are authentic Knopfler-esque.

Balanced 3rd string loudness, Alnico-K** rod magnets for low string pull and no Strat-itis pitch warble.

Works well in any Kinman Goodbye-Soldering Harness.

** Alnico-K is a unique proprietary Alnico rod magnet developed by Kinman in 1985. It is Alnico-5 but has 40% less string pull than Alnico-5 so sustain is longer and there is much less clatter from string crash and no Strat-itis string warble.

* Fender, Stratocaster, Strat and Big Dipper are registered Trade Marks of Fender Musical Instrument Corp, Inc. Kinman is not associated with FMIC but they kindly permit us to refer to their Trade Marks to reference our products.
