Rich Hope is the only person we know that can take the smooth timeless riffs of John Lee Hooker, and Muddy Waters, and play them with as much soul and confidence as if he were raised in Issaquena County, Mississippi in the 1950's.

This video tells the truth, once the tape was rolling and the video was recording, Rich Hope played this take first try. If fact he did not do another take after this one.

We were ecstatic when Rich agreed to join us down at the Anchor Guitar Studio to record and film his version of Bruce Springsteen's 'Reason To Believe'. Rich plays a mean slide guitar on his ol' 59' Gibson hollow-body. The recording is for an upcoming Vancouver compilation album of Boss songs.

'Reason to Believe' was originally recorded on the album Nebraska in 1982. The haunting songs on Nebraska were all stripped down, and recorded with a vintage 4 cassette reel to reel. They were recorded as demos, and the intention was that the band could use them as a foundation to record the full album. The album was never recorded by the E Street Band, and the songs was sent to press from the demo tapes. 'Reason to Believe' is a fitting title to the final song on the album Nebraska, a timeless classic that inspires just as it is named.
