Join Network for New Music in the art-filled rotunda of the Historic Landmark Building of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the nation's oldest continually operating museum and school of fine arts! Paintings and prints by Eakins, Whistler, Ben Peterson, and others in the PAFA collection inspire and shape new music by composers Richard Brodhead and David Laganella. Admission to the museum is included in the price of your concert ticket, so you can enjoy seeing the works you're hearing, and explore the museum's outstanding collection of American art. And for concertgoers, a special treat: John Harbison's "Six American Painters," composed in response to artists whose work hangs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
