WTNH– Kala Farnham sings and plays the keyboard on Stage 8.

Kala Farnham is a classically trained pianist, an active member of the Rhode Island Songwriters Association, a theater and church musical director, and a performing songwriter. Her original music is a crossover/fusion of folk, pop, and jazz; she has been compared to Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, Jewel, and Regina Spektor. She gets songwriting inspiration from the everyday stories and people she encounters in everyday life.

Notable performances include opening for Don McLean at the Garde Arts Center in 2012 and opening for Tony Bennett at the Newport Yachting Center Concert Series in 2013. She just released her first full-length professional studio album titled “Anahata: Wake Up Your Heart”, available on http://www.kalafarnham.com, CDbaby.com, iTunes, and Amazon.
