I had to learn it when my mother gave me her "beloved violin" and I tried 13 year old boy to create a violin sound. With horsehair bow, pain ointment, by feeling and patience I managed this ... after 3 weeks! The sound was miserably. I knew I would never be a violinist! However the sound fascinates me to this day. I play the violin still sometimes when no one is listening. I worked again with young string musicians. Students. Girls and boys a youth orchestra and particularly I think of the students Matthias Niemeyer. We recorded my music and made a lot of violin samples!
