Marvin Gaye and The Sons

Rev. M.G. Hunter & The Sons of Jerusalem formed together at the New Jerusalem 133 Psalm M.B.C. of Chicago, IL, where Rev. M.G. Hunter is the pastor and The Sons of Jerusalem are all members of the church.



The group came together to sing for their annual Men's Day program in August 2003, not knowing what God had in store for them. Rev. M.G. Hunter and the Sons of New Jerusalem began to receive engagements to various churches, events and quartet programs.



The Sons of Jerusalem has had the opportunity to share the stage with national recording artists such as; Pilgrim Jubilees, Harvey Watkins of The Canton Spirituals, Paul Porter of The Christianaires, Highway QC's, 5 Blind Boys of Mississippi, The Williams Brothers, Keith Wonderboy Johnson & The Spiritual Voices, Darrell Mcfadden & The Disciples, Bishop Neal Roberson, Rev. Rodney Strong, Queen of Gospel Albertina Walker and the Victory Travelers along with many, many more.



The group began to write their own songs and recorded their first single: "I'm Going To Tell Jesus", from their highly anticipated CD "Let It Shine", expected to be completed this year. The title song of the CD is dedicated to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
