After half a decade of opening for and backing up some of the biggest Reggae performers in the world, the Kauai band Revival is finally releasing their first album "Roots Natty".
"Roots Natty" is a dance friendly reggae album with many tracks already being played in nightclubs around the state. In particular, the title track "Roots Natty", which features a freestyle rap by Fiji, has been a bootleg dance floor favorite for months. DJs and nightclub enthusiasts statewide can now enjoy a wide spectrum of original dance songs to keep their floors moving alongside artists such as Sean Paul and Shaggy. Some dance floor friendly songs include "Red Eye" and "Could You Be Loved."
Revivals three vocalists add a distinctive sound and original lyrics to this brand new release. In addition, the trio of covers composed by the Marley family is the bands way of paying homage to the forefathers of their art.
It took two and a half years for studio genius Wendell Ching to encapsulate the bands live performance energy into the ten tracks selected for this studio produced CD. Add original bass lines and heavy hitting drums and you have a production that will please both the reggae purists and those who just want to keep their feet moving at home or on the dance floor.
Revival has done an enormous amount of live performances over the past six years, being the nightclub band of choice on the island of Kauai.
