Resistors, Part 5: Plate Resistors - Video
PUBLISHED:  Dec 10, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
In this fifth and final video in the Amplifier Circuit Resistors series, the two very different functions of the Plate Resistor (PR) are discussed in detail, including the DC function, in which the PR tailors the positive DC voltage applied to each amplification tube plate, and the AC function, in which the PR converts the fluctuating AC signal current from the tube plate into a fluctuating AC voltage which can drive the grid of the next tube in the amplification chain. Several diagrams and schematics are presented as well as utilization of Ohm's Law and very basic terminology to improve comprehension.

If you enjoy videos such as this that discuss tube amplifier circuitry in clear, basic terminology, as well as vintage guitar amps, jukeboxes, home-builds, and electromechanical devices, then please subscribe to my channel. Thanks for watching.
