Willie Jones III Quintet Featuring Renee Neufville live at Jazz at Lincoln Center Doha from April 15-28, 2013!

Willie Jones III early exposure through his father, Willie Jones II, who was a notable jazz artist, pave the way on his further development as a drummer. With his few years working with acclaimed drummers and music instructor, he completed his formal training with full scholarship to the California Institute of the Arts where he studied under the tutelage of Legendary Albert "Tootie" Heath. Jones is now considered as one of the world's leading jazz drummer.
Willie Jones III will be playing with the California native Jeremy Pelt (on trumpet), Dezron Douglas who's known for his musical versatility from Connecticut (on bass), Stacy Dillard from Michigan who is sought after with exceptional talent (on saxophone), and highly in demand from Wisconsin Rich Germanson (on piano). Along with Willie Jones III Quintet, Renee Neufville will be performing as the featured vocalist. Renee has a very striking and has an alluring presence on stage. She's best known for her big 80s hit "Hey Mr DJ" where she sang and wrote the popular tune. Her music is heavily influenced by legendary soul singers.
