NASHVILLE,TN - Tacoma songwriter Scott Krippayne and Nashville songwriter Regie Hamm attempted to write and record a ten song album in 24 hours. A year later, the only thing Krippayne can compare the challenge to is climbing Mount Rainier.

Krippayne made a name for himself by penning "This Is My Now", the anthem Jordin Sparks sang upon winning American Idol in 2007. Hamm has written songs for Backstreet Boys and Rascal Flatts.

Writing the songs was the easy part. They came up with ten melodies in just two and a half hours. Writing lyrics and recording the songs would take the rest of the time.

In the same Nashville studio where Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton had cut albums, Hamm tracked down musicians who could work fast without getting tired.

"When I really thought we weren't going to make it was around 3 am," said Hamm.

"And I thought more about the reality of it, there's no way," agreed Krippayne.

Even as the tank went dry, the band played on. At the 24 hour mark, Krippayne and Hamm had their album.

"Did it turn out exactly like we wanted at least for me?" asked Krippayne. "No, not exactly."

But Krippayne says the album they've dubbed "The 24 Hour Conspiracy" shows that the mind and body are capable of more than most people would ever guess.
