The Staple Singers are most known for their smooth soul in the early 1970's, with hits like "I'll Take You There" and "Respect Yourself". They landed a #1 hit in 1975 with "Let's Do It Again".

They have over 25 albums to their credit, dating back to the early 1950's. They received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005.

Mavis Staples has been successful in own right with a dozen albums and singles of her own.
