Hailing from the streets of Old Trafford, Manchester, Solja is Manchester's top selling independent hip hop artist.



Originally part of the Mancunian group, Raw-T, Solja has been set for stardom from a very young age. In Solja’s own words, "It all started from sending bedroom sets around the surrounding areas, then to touring to promote the worldwide release of Raw-T's first album, Realise & Witness".



At age 15, Tony Wilson signed Solja to Factory Records. "Being part of Raw-T gave me my first insight into the music business".



Solja is known for his witty word plays expressing some of the real life situations he's encountered. His friends and family further recognise his non-stop work rate, that he is always proceeding with the next step towards making his mark on the global music scene. Already, Solja has performed both across the UK, and, abroad in countries such as France, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Holland and the U.S.A.



Solja has further opened up shows for other well known artists. These artists include Nas, Charmillionaire, Fabolous, Jamelia and Kano.



Solja's debut solo CD, "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Iz", was released in 2007 to much critical acclaim. Collaborations on the CD feature top acts Roll Deep, Virus Syndicate, Ruff Squad, Hit Em Up Squad, Stay Focused and Gully Gang. Singles from the CD saw heavy rotation on BBC 1 Extra & BBC Radio 1, Kiss 100, Choice FM and Galaxy FM.



Solja's releases have also appeared on many of the worlds largest music video channels. These include MTV Base, Channel U, B4 and Fizz.
