Born and raised in Manchester England, Crown Jewelz was introduced to music at a very early age. He wrote his first song when he was eight years old and won numerous dance competitions. Jewelz slowly began to realise that he had a natural talent for writing songs and creating melodies. In Primary school, he was taught how to beatbox by one of his friends. Whilst sharpening his beatbox skills, he was taught how to play the drums by his dad. With an ear for music, he would sit and analyse the old soul and reggae songs his parents would play. At the age of eleven, Crown Jewelz was introduced to Hip Hop and began writing rhymes. Through High School, Jewelz played the keyboards, percussion and steelpans. He began making mixtapes for his friends to hear in school and then later started to produce his own tracks. Crown Jewelz began to make a name for himself by performing around Manchester. He has performed at venues such as Bridgewater Hall, Manchester Academy and in central Manchester for the Queen's Golden Jubilee. Crown Jewelz continues to impress his audience with clever wordplay, deep lyrics and a confident delivery. Crown Jewelz is featured on the Made In Manchester Mixtape produced by DJ Dawood and The Freekz. This compilation album is due to be released very soon. Jewelz has also recently shot a video for the song 'I need a girl' in which he is featured on. At the moment Jewelz is in the studio working on a solo mixtape that will be released early next year with an album to follow. Jewelz is also working closely with DJ Dawood so look out for a project from them. Keep checking for more info and updates.
