***** Description For This Video *****

Lil' Raskull is one of the original pioneers of Gospel Rap. He brought Houston, Texas to the national stage in the genre through creating quality projects for God. In 1996, he signed with a Texas-based Christian Hip Hop label called Grapetree Records (EMI). RAS became the leading artist for the imprint and by 2000 Grapetree was the number one CHH record company in the world (based on notoriety and sales). During the time RAS was signed with GT, his 1998 release, Gory to Glory, was nominated for “Best Rap Album of the Year” by the Dove Awards. RAS appeared on television networks Day Star and TBN, and he was one of the first CHH artists to appear in The Source Magazine, Rap Pages, and Billboard Magazine.

Ras' choice to start his own label and broaden the scope of his distribution might be influenced by the experience at Grapetree Records. The H-Town emcee has sold over one hundred thousand records and appeared all over the nation. The Down South-rapper continues to make chart-topping music. His single “There Go That Man” off his mixtape 5 Ft Mogul has landed on “Your Hot Four” by Jam The Hype, the world’s #1 syndicated CHH radio show hosted by Chris Chicago.

From landing on various charts, receiving awards and achieving accolades, after rising out of one of Houston’s roughest ghettos Trinity Garden; RAS thankfully gives God the Glory for all He has done and continues to do in his life.
