Bear Family CD Box Sets!

We have just put out a large collection of over 100 Bear Family Records deluxe compact disc box sets!

Bear Family Records was founded by collector Richard Weize in 1975. It is a German-based independent record label that specializes in reissues of rare recordings ranging from country music to blues, and early, primarily 50’s, R&B and rock and roll.

They are known for their deluxe, extensive, and expensive, box sets with beautiful photo booklets, featuring artists such as Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bill Monroe, Carl Perkins, Flatt & Scruggs, and Wanda Jackson just to name a few.

Historically, these imports have had only limited availability in the U.S., so it is a real pleasure to have such a large amount of the catalog in the store at one time. There are dozens that we have never seen before. The discs and boxes are, with just a few exceptions, immaculate, and many are still factory-sealed. The former owner clearly gave them the love they deserve. Due to their scarcity, these sets are pretty pricey, ranging from $40 to $140 or so.
