"Finger Ring", "Ruffled Drawers" & "Oklahoma Breakdown", performed by Rafe & Clelia Stefanini at the Institute of Musical Traditions (www.imtfolk.org), Rockville, Maryland, USA on November 4, 2013.

Rafe Stefanini, an Italian old-time banjo player, fiddler, guitarist, singer, teacher, violin maker, and restorer. has become one of the pillars of the old-time community in the United States. He performs with his daughter Clelia as a tight, top notch duo.

Rafe has been at the forefront of the revival of traditional music from the rural south for over thirty years. His work on fiddle, banjo, guitar and song is represented in over 20 CDs, both as headliner and as guest. He has been a member of such influential bands as the wildcats, Big Hoedown and The Rockinghams and lately The Jumpsteady Boys (with Bruce Molsky, Joe Newberry and Mike Compton).

Clelia has followed in her father's footsteps, quickly becoming competent on fiddle, guitar and vocals. She won first place in this year's fiddle competition at the Appalachian String Band Festival in Clifftop, West Virginia.

Together, Rafe and Clelia present a varied and exciting program of fiddle duets, banjo tunes, songs and ballads. Their CD "Never Seen the Like..." is already considered a classic. Their latest CD is Lady on the Green: Old Time Tunes and Songs.
