Pyrate Punx is a not for profit organization that sets up shows for the underground Punk/Metal/Hardcore/etc music scene. (Anything that is not main stream.) We provide a safe/ish place for bands to play and for kids of all ages to enjoy the muisic.* Bands are paid by the cover charge of each show, so please come out & support when/if we have shows in your area.
Pyrate Punx started helping in the music scene in the Bay Area 9/13/97 & now contribute to the music scene of various communities world wide. We do our best to provide for the underground music community, with community orentated events such as; the Franz Not Bombs/Libertatia Kitchen Concession, where we provide inexpensive or free meals at shows, Benefits for community members in need, Pedal for Pints, an East Bay bicycle pub run, Libertatia, our yearly camping fest where we offer free food, camping, music, 3 days every summer, & much, much more. There are many more events planned for the future, and many ideas in the works, so please stay tuned!
Several years ago, with the idea of helping the bands who are an important part of Pyrate Punx support in the scene, we decided to start a record label. We currently have five 7" releases, with several more planned for release in 2009. Please check back with us regularly.
