MAZZ came to life in 1978, when Joe and Jimmy formed the band after they had developed a loyal following when playing in a band called "The Bel-Airs"

It was during this year that the band released a 45 rpm titled, "Comprendo Mi Amor" and saw the release of their first album which was self-titled. In the later part of 1978, the group released a second album titled, "Mas Mazz". This would lead to upcoming success!!



In 1991 Mazz released "No Te Olvidare" which was nominated for a Grammy by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. "Lo Hare Por Ti" was released in 1992 as the group continued their climb as the industry's hottest act.



There is no secret to what has been a tremendous career of hits, along with numerous gold and platinum albums in both the United States and Mexico. The Chemistry generated between Joe Lopez and Jimmy Gonzalez may never be duplicated and certainly has not been able to be copied. They both have shared thier lives with each and every one of us through their music. This page is a tribute to grupo MAZZ!!!
