DESCRIPTION:
Bedford musicians Mark Calhoun, Tim Custer Jr, and Baltimore singer/songwriter Andrew Luttrell formed THE COAL MOUNTAIN RAMBLERS in February 2003. Bedford's own Kevin Kutz joined the group on fiddle in Spring 2006. Since then the CMR have released 3 full-length albums & performed well over 500 different songs live throughout their 8 year history - and continue to perform today. From 2003 to 2007 they maintained an acoustic-roots-bluegrass style, but from mid 2007 on, the band has also successfully touched on about every type of music you can think of - with only acoustic instruments.
