"Pipeline" on a 1963 Harmony H-19 Silhouette guitar - Video

DESCRIPTION:
Anyone who knows me knows that I've been somewhat of a guitar nerd since I was in my teens. I have been playing and working on stringed instruments as a hobby since the late '60s. A friend recently brought this guitar to me to see if it was worth fixing up. Her dad said he would like to start playing it again. He's 92 yrs young and he bought this guitar new. It had flat wound strings on it that looked about 30 yrs old, one string was broken and a tuner shaft, gear and bushing were missing. The guitar was very dirty and all the metal parts were corroded or tarnished. I found the missing parts on ebay, cleaned and polished all the parts, put it all back together and plugged it in and it sounds great and plays very easy. A very nice 1963 H-19 Harmony Silhouette!
Before I gave this guitar back, I just had to make a quick video featuring it. I picked a song from the same year this guitar was built, 1963. I'm not nearly as good as the Chantays, but at least you get to here what a vintage Harmony sounds like!
