Please Stay, Don't Go.
So I've been thinking lately about this man,

How he took his own life with his own hands;

Did he say, "God, I can't take much more of this.

Come on now take me Lord, let's go."

Was it a lack of love that drove him out

Complete hopelessness surrounds his house.

And he say, "God, I can't stay here another day,

something here has gotta change,

and I can't take another so I'll take mine.

God, I know I've much to live.. can't you just let me go tonight?"

Is it often now he's thought about

When someone he once knew passes his house..

They say, "Such a shame the way he took his life,

I wonder what his pain was like..

Was he numb to the world the day he left.."

No one's there to say

"Don't go, you could stay and don't you know,

you could change the way you live today?"

So as he knelt among the leaves that day,

no one was there to say "don't go".

And as he prepared to leave this world behind,

was it regret that crossed his mind..

Please stay don't go, don't leave this life

Nothing can change, nothing can rearrange my heart.
