Staring Simon Bowman ( Les Mis, Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera ), Sarah Watson ( X Factor, Loserville) and directed by Joe Harmston (Agatha Christie's murder on the Nile, The Handyman) 'The Prodigals' is a brand new musical opening at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, at the end of August 2013.

The Story: one son is a gifted singer / songwriter, living a high life of excess; his elder brother has joined the Scottish regiment to which their father has devoted his life. The Prodigals follows the story of their lives. A potent mix of shame, disgrace, love and punishment.

From the highly charged opening that takes you to the poppy fields of Afghanistan, The Prodigals keeps you riveted with stunning music and pulsating dance and a script that cleverly and sensitively takes you to emotional locations you will easily identify with. It's a positive, high-energy feast for the senses!

After an amazing, highly acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe, The full show of the Prodigals comes to the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, at the end of August 2013, and can only be heading in one direction, to the top!
