DESCRIPTION:
First Principles of Being and the Bible Colossians 1:15

Self-evident "First Principles of Being" support a Theistic (God is God) worldview
Without worldview, facts are meaningless
Consider the Grand Canyon and its striations or layers, obvious
Consider miracles of the Bible
When you see a pregnant teen
When you consider the founding of a nation

1. Being is.
That is, something exists. This is called the principle of existence.

2. Being is being.
This is known as the principle of identity. Being is identical to being.

3. Being is not nonbeing.
This is called the principle of noncontradiction. Opposites cannot both be true at the same time and in the same sense.

4. Either being or nonbeing.
This is the principle of the excluded middle. Something must either be or not be. It can’t be and not be.

5. Nonbeing cannot produce being.
This is the principle of causality. Nothing cannot cause anything since nothing does not even exist, and what does not exist cannot cause anything.

6. Being causes being similar to itself.
This is the principle of analogy. An effect resembles its efficient cause. LIke produces like. Being cannot give what it does not have.

All of creation glorifies God for it all reflects some things about God.
Romans 1:20 Psalm 8:3, Isaiah 40:26, Isaiah 44:23, Psalm 148:1

The crowning creation is mankind
Let us make man in our own image. Genesis 1:26

A necessary Being is necessary and has to exist
John 1:1, Colossians 1:16, Deuteronomy 4:35, Deuteronomy 4:39, Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 44:6, Mark 12:29

A necessary Being is a Being of Pure Actuality (whatever the being is, it is to the full), with no potentiality (It already is absolutely everything it can be because it has to be.)

The very name of God is EXISTANCE “I AM”
Exodus 3:13, James 1:17, Hebrews 13:8

Incommunicable Attributes of God and Communicable Attributes of God
1. Self-Existence 2. Eternality 3. Immutability 4. Omniscience 5. Omnipresence 6. Omnipotence

Comunicable Attributes of God
1. Holiness 2. Righteousness 3. Truthfulness 4. Love 5. Goodness 6. Mercy 7. Sovereignty Will or Choice

But only a necessary Being can cause a contingent being (#9)
Acts 17:26

A necessary Being (of Pure Actuality) causes me to exists does exist. This uncaused cause must be
infinite, unchanging, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-perfect
This infinitely all-powerful, all-knowing, all -good Being is what is meant by a theistic God

Therefore, a theistic God exists.
This God is identical to the God described in the Bible.
Therefore, the God described in the Bible exists.

And Psalm 8:3, Romans 12:1, Ephesians 2:4
