DESCRIPTION:
Gathering Blue -- music by Jonathon Lynch, book and lyrics by Jordan Mann -- is based on the young-adult novel of the same name by Lois Lowry. It takes place in a harsh post-apocalyptic tribe in which artists are protected in order to tell the story of the society's past... and maybe its future. "Matty the Fierce" is sung by Matt, a brash child who dreams of gaining enough fame and glory to earn awe and admiration of his tribe.
