In March 1995, The Power Drive Band resurrected. The bands resurrection was initiated by the leader of the band Rudy Barcelo and Carlos Bejarano, Lead trumpet player and a new comer to the band, Frank Acosta, bass player and sound engineer. As word spread that the band was coming together again, there were some outstanding musicians from the Phoenix Latin scene that were invited to join the band. The band selected the best of the best:



The band is composed of 11 musicians that have come together to provide entertainment in a Bi-lingual and Bi-cultural format. The bands ethnic background is comprised of United States born Americans of Mexican heritage, that have had their musical experience formulated equally by Contemporary Pop Music and Latin Music. All members of the group have extensive musical experience and have provided musical entertainment for numerous years throughout Phoenix metropolitan area.



We are capable of playing a Light Latin Cumbia and quickly changing modes to a strong Salsa beat. Then, slowing down the beat to a romantic Latin Bolero. And then taking you back in time and playing some Rhythm & Blues/Oldies. And then get you going with some Santana selections. And then keep you moving to some good Tex-Mex that will keep you entertained throughout the night. We continue working on original material and now with the newly acquired title as the best band in Phoenix Arizona, we also want to let you know that we are ready to work hard to keep the title.
