Cascabel

Basically, the band has been around, in one form or another, for about 4 years. However, after numerous changes in personel and musical direction, the band you hear today is quite different from where it all began. For starters, we're now a trio and although we still play an acoustic tune now and then, the predominant sound of the band has become electric. Some examples off of the CD would be, "Mas De Ti", a rock en espanol vibe. The chicano-centric, groove tune, "Mexico". Our funky version of "Chan Chan" and of course the "Cumbias". (Cumbias is in quotes because these songs probably have more in common with salsa , rock, or reggae than they do with a traditional cumbia. Oh well, they dance the same and that's what's important. Right?) SoThis is who we are and what we play. From Mexico City, on guitars and vocals. Say hello to Gustavo Angeles. He ROCKS!!! On bass, also from Mexico City, by way of Los Angeles, CA. Our baby bro, Angel Zamorano. And then there's me, Miguel Melgoza. I sing songs and play drums. Oh, and I'm from the San Franciso, Bay Area. Anyhow, the important thing is, together we are Cascabel. We live in Phoenix, AZ. We actually like eachother and we love to play our music for other people. Hopefully, you can catch a show. If you have a band, hopefully we can catch one of yours.
