Miniature Camera-Style Wind-Up Gramophone Peter Pan from 1924 playing Glenn Miller - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 27, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
The "Peter Pan" is a so-called cameraphone built 1924 in England. Like all cameraphones it is a collapsible mini record player. It has a copy of a Victor Exhibition soundbox as reproducer and a foldable internal horn. It plays "what you want - and where you want it". Here we watch it playing a 1943 78 rpm record from Great Britain: Glenn Miller's "Sun Valley Jump", a Fox Trot.
