DESCRIPTION:
(english subtitles) Pikin Slee in Suriname, Toya Saaki tells about the neem tree that has been used by the Saamaka tribe for centuries as an Organic pesticide. But as an exception to the rule for as Toya will tell you, the Saamaka's only use their land for two years and will only return after ten years to prevent the soil from becoming infertile.

Pikin Slee, Suriname, Toya Saaki vertelt over de Neemboom die door de Saamaka's gebruikt werd als biologisch bestrijdingsmiddel. Bij wijze van uitzondering want zoals Toya vertelt in dit filmpje gebruikte ze een stuk grond maar twee jaar om het vervolgens 10 jaar te laten rusten waardoor de bodem niet uitgeput raakt.
