Pilfers are a ska band that formed in 1997 and are something of a super-group. Lead singer Coolie Ranx the second lead singer for The Toasters from 1990-1996, singing on their albums Frankenska, Live in L.A., Dub 56 and Hard Band For Dead. Their trombonist was Vinny Nobile from Bim Skala Bim, and they also had two members of Skinnerbox. They broke up at their height in 2001, but reunited in 2008 without Nobile.

The self-titled album was their first LP, and was released by several labels, but mostly independently.
