The 2011 edition of NYUNIT started in Firenze last January when I first met Casey Barman during a jam at La Citè , we played this tune together (Mr. PC).
Together with him and Patrick Sargent we played with many different pianists bass players and often with another NYU student , the guitar player Alden Harris McCoy. The NYUnit project was supposed to last three months, the period these musician are in town attending classes at their university, has been a good chance to exchange musical experiences with various local musicians and , as in this case, with some international jazzman like my old time friend Janos ... I had a lot of fun playing with these jung and fine saxofon players ! This was the last tune of our last gig : Mr.PC , another circle has been closed this way.
