The Pickerington High School Central Marching Tiger Band has been one of the most active and successful bands in the Midwest since 1986. The group consists of approximately 240 students (winds, percussion, color guard, and 4 field commanders). Pickerington High School Central consists of grades nine through twelve and houses approximately 1,350 students.
The band has competed in the Ohio Music Education Association's State Marching Band Competition for 27 of the past 28 years, earning the state's highest honor, a Superior rating, for 20 consecutive years.
The Tiger band has marched in over 19 nationally televised parades, including three appearances in the Rose Parade and three appearances in the Macy's Parade. The band has performed for three Presidents and performed 16 NFL halftime shows.
